Job Type: Full-Time

Position Overview:Moccasin Bend is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Golf Course Superintendent to support the daily maintenance and operations of our golf course. This role works closely with the Superintendent to ensure the course is maintained at the highest standards of playability and aesthetics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning and supervising all golf course maintenance activities
• Oversee daily crew assignments and monitor work performance
• Participate in turf management practices including mowing, fertilization, irrigation, and pest control
• Monitor course conditions and implement improvement plans
• Assist with irrigation system operation, maintenance, and repairs
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment
• Train and mentor maintenance staff
• Step in for the Superintendent when needed

Qualifications:

• Degree or certificate in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, Horticulture, or related field (preferred)
• 2+ years of experience in golf course maintenance or related field
• Knowledge of turfgrass practices, irrigation systems, and equipment operation
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Valid driver’s license (pesticide applicator license preferred or ability to obtain)
